Tax Planning & Compliance

SARS should never be the reason you lose sleep.

Provisional tax, VAT201s, and annual returns are predictable if someone is watching the calendar. We watch it so you can run the business.

In practice

The numbers behind "on time, every time"

Over the last two years we've recorded 0 late provisional tax submissions across our current client book, helped avoid R 2.1M in penalties for clients through pre-emptive SARS correspondence in 2023, and now give clients an average of 14 days advance notice before a provisional tax payment is actually due.

How we take this over

A calendar, not a scramble

Four steps take you from reactive filing to a running, predictable tax position.

  1. 01

    Records audit

We review the last two years of filings and bookkeeping to find gaps, overpayments, and unclaimed deductions before anything else happens.

  2. 02

    Calendar built around your entity

Every VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax date specific to your registration is loaded into a shared tracker with lead-time alerts.

  3. 03

    Monthly close & estimate

Books are closed by the 10th of each month, giving you a running tax liability figure instead of a year-end guess.

  4. 04

    Filing & SARS liaison

We submit, respond to verification requests, and handle SARS correspondence directly under a signed mandate — you're copied, not chased.

Questions we get from new clients

Straight answers before you sign anything

Yes. This is one of the most common starting points. We run a records audit first, file the backlog in the correct order, and negotiate any penalty remittance applications with SARS on your behalf.

Not necessarily. We can work with your current bookkeeper and simply take over tax strategy and SARS submissions, or handle bookkeeping in-house if you'd rather consolidate.

You call us, not a lawyer. Audit correspondence is handled as part of every Dastivo tax engagement at no additional fee, provided the return in question was filed by us.

That's the core of the service. Monthly closes feed a running liability figure, so you know roughly what's owed months before the actual filing date.

We work with Pty Ltds, close corporations still in wind-down, sole proprietors, and partnerships — the engagement scope adjusts to your entity type.

Typically two to three weeks, including a formal handover request to your outgoing practitioner and a SARS eFiling access transfer.
